• Proton Mail — end-to-end encrypted email.

• Proton VPN — a no‑logs virtual private network.

• Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, Proton Pass, Proton Wallet, Proton Authenticator, Lumo AI, and more.

• They’re strongly committed to open-source development: all of their apps are open-source and independently audited.

Mission / Vision:
They aim “to build an internet that puts people before profits, empowering users with control over their digital lives” and to make privacy the default. Proton started from a community crowdfunding campaign — more than 10,000 people donated to help launch the company. 
In 2024, they transitioned to a non-profit model by making the Proton Foundation their major shareholder.
